Hi guys

Where has the time gone, I can’t believe it has been 6 months since I lasted blogged!

What have I done in that time, well going back to last year a couple of things;

November 2015
I went with my mate Elz to see the Rapha Supercross at Kings Cross – which in the end was cancelled due to bad weather – but I did take these photos of the outside part of the circuit

and the Revolution Series at the Lee Valley Velo Park, I have never been to a velodrome before, it was great fun, and I enjoyed myself a lot, the atmosphere was buzzing! 😊

I went to see a Lost Innocence gig at The White Swan in Aylesbury, and I have to say these guys are amazing! – and I’m not just saying that because my brother-in-law plays the keyboard for them – I would definitely recommend going to see them if you get the chance. They are a covers band, and they do covers of Within Temptation, Nightwish, We Are The Fallen, Evanescence etc

December 2015
I did a Taekwondo grading for my green belt, which I managed to pass and gain yay J I was pretty nervous, the higher up I go the more nervous I seem to get, I think it’s due to having to remember more stuff and each pattern/form gets just that little bit more complex.

Went to watch my mate Elz at Dalton Barracks for a CX race. Well impressed with her performance, especially as she was suffering with a cold. Met a couple of her riding buddies too, Toria and Caroline – great guys! ‪#‎amazingride ‪#‎soproud 😊

At her next CX race I actually helped out in the pits for her – very muddy, but a lot of fun. I’m so proud of her, she is doing great! 😊

February 2016
Panto time – Beauty and the Beast 🎭
We performed three shows, all three went well, with the obligatory minor hiccups of course, though very funny ones 😄 The cast were all amazing and the backstage crew did a great job too!
The audience, on all the nights, were great with all the interactions of the show as well. The whole production just seemed to flow and – though a lot of hard work was put into it – be quite relaxed.
Well done to all the cast and crew for an awesome show, you guys are amazing!

Now that I’ve got up to date with what has been going on in the last 6 months. It’s almost time for my race season to start. I’m racing in the Welsh Sports and Saloon Car Championship again this year, as it’s such a relaxed, fun and friendly group to be with 😊

I’ve got a test session next Thursday (21st) at Llandow, which is leaving it a bit late I know, as my first race of the season is on the 24th April at Pembrey. Hopefully all goes well, and I can ease myself back in to the car before the race, instead of going in cold.
I will keep you posted on how the test session goes and the first race.

Take Care and God Bless

Energetic/Social Weekend…

Hi

The panto went very well, the audiences for each of the nights were great 🙂

On Friday I said I was going to a contra dance;  I found out what it was – it’s an american version of the British/English barn dance. I had a fab time, even with so much spinning around to make you dizzy 🙂 I did 6 dances in total, they were quite energetic, so by the end of the evening I was quite tired.

I somehow caused quite a muscle strain in my right calf muscle – it still ached this morning, but has since stopped! but I suppose I haven’t helped myself by being energetic over the weekend as well, I did a stint on my rowing machine on Saturday, then a hour cycle ride on Sunday. I also did my body pump on Tuesday. I still don’t know why I put myself through so much abuse, but it somehow feels great to exercise.

Tonight I’m going to a discussion group, talking about Lent – it’s similar to the one I did just before Christmas – so hopefully it will be as sightful.

This Friday I’m going to Messy Church – which is a afternoon/early evening thing for the whole family, doing arts, crafts, cooking, singing, then having a social dinner there afterwards. 🙂

Think that’s it for now.

Take Care, God Bless 🙂

Panto Time…

Hi there

On the work front I’ve been made safe, so I can relax a little regarding my employment status, but I’m still looking round for other jobs outside the company. More on that when I hear more.

I know I’m a little late mentioning this, but the Uffington Players are performing King Arthur – The Panto tonight, Friday & Saturday evenings. Tickets are still available for all nights, so if you are near by why not pop in to see one of the shows. I’m doing the lighting again, I helped set up the lights and sound system last weekend, so I’ve had a pretty busy week this week.

I won’t be doing the lighting duties on Friday as I had already agreed to go to a Charity Contra Dance in Benson near Wallingford. I don’t know what it is, but it sounds a bit folk/country dancing type of thing, it should be a great laugh and lots of fun 🙂

I haven’t been out on my bike yet due to the horrible weather, so have had to be content on using my rowing machine more, which isn’t a bad thing, just that I would love to get out on my bike! I’m still enjoy doing my body pump, not only is it strengthening my muscles and giving them some definition, it’s also a great way to socialize and meet up with various people.

I hope everyone enjoyed having their pancakes on Tuesday. I may dislike today, but some people like it, so for all who enjoy it Happy Valentines Day 🙂

I’m just mumbling now, and there isn’t a lot else going on at present. So for now…

Take Care & God Bless
