Weekend Round 6…

Hi there guys

Well this last week has been mad with having the last couple of rehearsals for ‘Allo ‘Allo (Sunday all day and Tuesday evening) then 4 performances from Wednesday to Saturday. All the performaces went very well (albeit with the odd mistake – but only the cast and backstage crew knew them as such); the audiences on all the nights were great 🙂 I was doing the lighting for the Wednesday and Thursday nights of the show, then was sitting in the audience on the Friday night – due to my mum having already brought tickets for the show before I was asked to do the lighting.

Saturday I was in Birmingham for the celebration of one of my mum’s cousins 30th wedding anniversary 🙂 (hench why I wasn’t able to do the lighting for the final night performance of ‘Allo ‘Allo) it was a great  do, the food was really nice, plenty of chatting with various people – a number of them I hadn’t met before. Overall a nice relaxed atmosphere and really nice to be around family again 🙂

Sunday I just chilled out, to recover from all the craziness of the week and weekend 🙂 but I enjoyed myself nevertheless and now I’m having a quiet week.

I went to my body pump class this evening – I’m sure the arm track was more brutal then before, but I survived and feel good – it must be doing something good for me 🙂

Only one more day til Halloween – are any of you doing anything for it , or are you like me and just can’t quite be asked to do much. Well which ever way you spend your evening have a …

Well I think that’s it for now.

Night peeps

Take Care & God Bless

Weekend Round 5…

This weekend has been crazy!
Went to London on Saturday to watch Les Miserables at The Queens Theatre with family and some friends. I have always wanted to go and see it. WOW! it was a-maz-ing, it was very well perfomed (even though at the beginning a couple of the charcters came across a little weaker than I was expecting), the stage props and lighting were just incredible, loved the songs, the whole thing in general was quite an emotional experience from tearing up to laughing, and when it all finished feeling like you had actually felt what it was like to be there in that period of time. It’s well worth going to see! 🙂 Afterwards we went to The Porcupine to have dinner, which was really nice. Saying all that I was so glad to get out of the hustle and bustle of London and back into the countryside.

On Sunday I went to the ‘Allo ‘Allo rehearsal, getting to grips with the lighting for the show, that was such a long day as well, it didn’t help when a couple things didn’t go quite to plan. These things happen in theatrical performances, just like in a lot of things, but hopefully the final rehearsal on Tuesday will go well and people will relax a little knowing things are ready to go for the 4 nights of performances. I will only be doing the lighting for the Wednesday and Thursday performances due to my mum buying tickets for the Friday show, and at that point in time I hadn’t been asked to do the lighting, and on Saturday I’m off to Brimingham.

I’m still planning on going to my body pump class on Tuesday evening, then heading straight to rehearsals.

I’m going to be one very tired bunny come Sunday, as this week will be filled with lots of late nights, and early mornings – as I still have to go to work :/

Right I’m off to bed now.

Chill, Relax and God Bless 🙂

Weekend Round 4…

Hi guys

Well as you know this weekend I was suppose to of been racing at Pembrey, well that didn’t happen as my car was in bits due to repairs and not being able to find a component. Not really the way I wanted to end my racing season, but in motorsport anything can happen, so I’ll keep my chin up make sure that things are ready and raring to go for the new season next year.

Just because I didn’t race, it didn’t mean I had nothing to do over the weekend though:

On Saturday – after I had watched the qualifying for the F1 GP – I went to try out a road bike and have now found a size that fits me – I’m looking at the Lexa S, it felt nice to sit on and the bike in general felt smooth 🙂 so I just need to buy it (yes I know, not the best time of year to get it, with it getting darker earlier, colder and generally quite depressing, but hey ho). In the evening, I went to a friend’s 50th birthday party, it was nice to meet up again as I haven’t seen her for a while – the only down side was, due to me driving to the party I had to drive back home, was I couldn’t have a couple of drinks, but it was still an enjoyable time 🙂

On Sunday – after I had, again got up at a stupid time, to watch the F1 GP race – My mum and I went to Clearwell (Forest of Dean) to have lunch with the mum’s from the holiday gang (dad drove, then after dropping us off went for a walk) . We were at a very pleasant pub, the food was really good, and we had a great time chatting and having a laugh – even the waiter was a good laugh as well 🙂

I got another busy weekend coming up, so watch this space…

This evening I went to body pump, it was a lot of fun – didn’t hurt anywhere near as much as last week 🙂 I’m not sure if I will be able to go next week as I’ve been asked to do lighting for one of the Uffington Players productions- ‘Allo ‘Allo; and the rehearsals that I’m required are on Sunday and Tuesday.

Well that’s it for now, think it’s time for bed 🙂

Take Care & God Bless

Weekend Rounds 2 & 3…

Hi there

I’ve been having a few problems with trying to get on here recently, so I’m sorry about not keeping up to date as I was planning.

Where to start…
I suppose I’ll start with the last weekend in Sept. I went to Essex on the Saturday to celebrate my aunts’ birthday. It was quite a long journey there and back – being ~3 hours both ways, but it was good to see both my aunt and uncle – who I don’t see very often. The event was pretty chilled and relaxed, having a BBQ, chatting, and for a little while just reading my book.

My trip to France (for work) during the week was interesting – even if parts of it were pretty dull and boring at times, but at least I know what it’s like to be in one of the factories. I left Tuesday afternoon and came back Thursday evening.

Last weekend I did a bit of shopping on Saturday, brought a very pretty little headband, a couple of hoodies, and a electrical appliance – I know that doesn’t sound particularly exciting, but it was a useful buy.
On Sunday I went to the One Family Service – which is a informal church service and it has refreshments afterwards 🙂 I then spent my time watching the BTCC at Silverstone, it was again all pretty clean racing, but the championship isn’t half hotting up :O

I’ve been going on my rowing machine from time to time, went to body pump last night – I didn’t ache as much as I was fearing (having missed last weeks session) so that was cool 🙂

This weekend has had a change of plan, as I won’t be off racing due to not being able to find the right diff for my car – gutted isn’t even half what I feel :(, but these things do happen, so hopefully the changes we (me, my mechanic, and my parents) have agreed to do during the winter will give me a fully working car for next year :).
With me not racing that doesn’t mean I haven’t already got other things to do, so lots of fun planned 🙂

I’ve also been watching Strictly Come Dancing, lets see how it all unfolds in the coming weeks 🙂

I think that’s it for now, hopefully my computer will be nice to me and let me post again on a more timely and frequent manner.

Bye for now. Take Care & God Bless
